Tatton Consulting supported Ealing-based neural interface company AxonCTRL in its successful application to Growth Catalyst Early Stage: New Innovators, awarded £49,389 by Innovate UK for the project AI-Powered Motor Interface for Neural Decoding.
About the funded R&D project
Movement is directed by signals travelling from brain to spinal cord to muscle. When limb loss or neurological conditions break that link, existing prosthetics and exoskeletons interpret what remains poorly, relying on controls that demand sustained concentration for simple tasks. AxonCtrl is developing a neural decoding interface intended to read that signalling more fluently, so control resembles natural movement rather than operating a machine.
