The project’s total Innovate UK grant across all partners was £445,342.
About the funded R&D project
Around 30% of UK adults live with two or more long-term conditions, and multimorbidity accounts for roughly 70% of NHS health and social care expenditure. Of those adults, 34% have both physical and mental conditions, a combination that makes self-management considerably harder. Supported self-management reduces disease progression and service usage, but NHS capacity to deliver it is limited. The project develops precision behaviour change using just-in-time adaptive intervention coaching for multimorbidity.
