Tatton Consulting supported Quantum Solutions in its successful application to Innovate UK Smart Grants, awarded £262,514 by Innovate UK for the project PMX – Advancing X-Ray detector performance using Perovskite Materials.
About the funded R&D project
Conventional X-ray detectors convert radiation to light and then to charge, losing resolution at each step. Direct detectors skip the intermediate stage. Working with Nordson Dage, this project develops a photon-counting direct X-ray detector using perovskite quantum dots, crystals and nanostructures, including a custom CMOS readout ASIC designed for the purpose.
