About the funded R&D project
Rare earth elements are essential to renewable energy, electronics and EV motors, and their extraction carries significant environmental cost. This feasibility study explored recovering them from mine tailings using hydrometallurgical processing in the UK, turning an existing waste stream into a domestic source.
