Tatton Consulting supported Cambridge Energy Partners in its successful application to Innovate UK Smart Grants, awarded £1,013,553 by Innovate UK for the project Mobile Industrial Solar Platform (MISP).
About the funded R&D project
Solar generation for industrial sites at the edge of the grid is held back by installation cost and time rather than by panel price. MISP is a scalable, portable platform spanning 60kW to 10MW, designed to bring industrial-scale levelised cost of electricity to last mile electrification. Portability changes the economics for mining, agriculture and remote industrial operations where a fixed installation cannot be justified.
