About the funded R&D project
Smartphone-only health interventions systematically exclude older people, disadvantaged groups and some younger users, and those gaps undermine the coverage any national programme depends on. The Leeds Lifeband project developed a wearable route into COVID-19 monitoring for people the app-based approach was missing.
