About the funded R&D project
Diabetic foot ulcers consume around 1% of the entire NHS budget annually, and the carbon cost is equally significant: repeated clinic visits plus single-use bandages, syringes and dressings. This project developed customised Path Feel insoles targeting both the clinical outcome and the emissions attached to managing it.
