About the funded R&D project
RiPR uses supercritical water to convert wet, mixed biogenic waste streams, including agricultural residues, food and municipal waste, into hydrogen and biomethane with carbon dioxide extractable from the output gas. The feedstocks require minimal pre-processing, which is the economic distinction from conventional reforming. The project validates production at scale, including work with the University of Edinburgh on the PSA purification system.
