About the funded R&D project
This UK-Canada collaboration combines long-circulating lipid nanoparticles with cancer-targeting T-cell receptors. The intent is to improve how immunotherapies are delivered into the tumour microenvironment, the region around a solid tumour that typically resists conventional systemic drug delivery. Longer circulation time increases the opportunity for targeted particles to accumulate at the tumour rather than clearing from the bloodstream first.
