Tatton Consulting supported Derbyshire Dales-based electrolyser developer WD Hydrotech in its successful application to Innovate UK Smart grants: January 2024, which was awarded £347,513 by Innovate UK for the project H2G – a membrane-free, modular electrolyser significantly reducing levelised production costs of green hydrogen through low-cost mass production, scalability, and enhanced robustness..

About the funded R&D project

A membrane-free, modular electrolyser. The membrane is one of the more expensive and failure-prone components in conventional electrolysis, so removing it changes both the capital cost and the maintenance profile of hydrogen production at distributed scale.
