Tatton Consulting supported City of London-based concrete monitoring technology company Cloud Cycle in its successful application to Innovate UK Smart Grants: January 2022, awarded £347,098 by Innovate UK for the project Developing Sensors and Techniques for Measuring Concrete Water/Cement Ratio and Smart Blending of Concrete.

About the funded R&D project

Between 1% and 13% of ready-mixed concrete is estimated to return unused to the batch plant, through customer over-ordering or ineffective quality control. Cloud Cycle develops a cost-effective sensor monitoring system for fresh concrete to measure what is actually in the drum, addressing the information gap that causes the waste.
