About the funded R&D project
Conventional cancer drugs circulate throughout the body, which limits how much of a dose reaches a tumour and raises off-target exposure. The project pairs cancer-targeting T-cell receptors with nanoparticles derived from red blood cells, aiming for a delivery vehicle that is both biocompatible and directed at tumour tissue. If the combination performs as intended, it would raise the proportion of an administered payload that reaches the target site, which is the constraint holding back several classes of precision medicine and immunotherapy.
