Tatton Consulting supported South Cambridgeshire-based livestock epigenomics company Antler Bio in its successful application to Farming Innovation Programme Small R&D Partnership Projects Rnd 3, awarded £1,166,942 by Innovate UK for the project AEH: An AI-driven Herd Screening platform harnessing gene expression in livestock to provide UK farmers with actionable insights for improving herd productivity..

About the funded R&D project

Antler Bio’s platform reads gene expression in livestock to tell farmers what is actually happening in their herds, rather than inferring it from breed or yield records alone. This project builds an AI-driven herd screening service on that foundation, converting epigenomic signals into decisions a farmer can act on. The commercial question is whether the insight changes herd productivity by enough to justify the screening cost, which is what the project sets out to establish.
