Tatton Consulting supported Wirral-based micro-wind energy company Enturi in its successful application to Launchpad pilot: Advanced Manufacturing MFA – Liverpool City Region, awarded £97,953 by Innovate UK for the project An innovative, sustainable micro-wind turbine-energy storage system that harnesses wind energy to reduce electricity bills by £68K and emissions by 180,000 kg of CO2 per year.
About the funded R&D project
A micro-wind turbine paired with energy storage, developed through the Liverpool City Region advanced manufacturing Launchpad. Pairing generation with storage is what makes small-scale wind useful at a single site, since the output on its own is too intermittent to rely on.
