Tatton Consulting supported South Cambridgeshire-based precision medicine platform company Sano Genetics in its successful application to Innovate UK Smart Grants: January 2022, awarded £327,147 by Innovate UK for the project Decentralising precision medicine patient recruitment and clinical trial research to accelerate drug development.
About the funded R&D project
Clinical trials are still largely run through in-person visits to trial sites and outsourced to contract research organisations, a model essentially unchanged since the 1980s. Genomic data collection has transformed in that time. The project decentralises patient recruitment and trial conduct to match.
