Tatton Consulting supported Westminster-based floating marine renewables company AEON Energy in its successful application to UK – Singapore Collaborative R&D Call Sustainability and Net Zero, awarded £736,320 by Innovate UK for the project AEONOP – 24/7 Floating Solar and Tidal Energy with integrated digital tool development.
About the funded R&D project
Densely populated urban areas face the same land scarcity as island states. AEON Energy and Ocean Pixel developed a floating hybrid combining solar and tidal generation, aiming at continuous output, with digital tooling to model and manage it. Tidal is predictable where solar is not, which is what makes the pairing work.
