Tatton Consulting supported Essex-based sandwich manufacturer Raynor Foods in its successful application to Made Smarter Innovation: Sustainable Smart Factory, awarded £1,194,465 by Innovate UK for the project Smart People + Smart Process = Smart Factory.

About the funded R&D project

Following the Digital Sandwich work, this project addresses the human side of factory digitisation. Smart factory technology routinely underdelivers because the workforce is treated as a constraint rather than as part of the system. The project pairs process automation with workforce capability in a live food manufacturing environment.
