About the funded R&D project
Lead halide perovskite absorbs X-rays efficiently and can be processed from solution, which makes it a candidate for direct detectors that are both high performance and manufacturable at scale. This project develops the material and detector architecture for healthcare, food safety and security imaging, where image quality and dose reduction both matter.
