Tatton Consulting supported Plymouth-based EV battery recycling company Altilium in its successful application to Contracts for Innovation: Resource Efficient Automotive Impacts, awarded £115,924 by Innovate UK for the project Demonstration of sustainable production of EV Battery Cells with recycled cathode and anode materials.

About the funded R&D project

Altilium has developed a hydrometallurgical process recovering cathode metals including lithium and upcycling them into cathode active material. This project demonstrates production of complete EV battery cells using recycled cathode and anode material, which is the point at which the circular claim becomes verifiable.
