About the funded R&D project
UK cement faces a net zero target alongside a genuine supply shortage, and around 5% of concrete is wasted on construction sites. Delivered with HS2, this project applies IoT sensing, machine learning and large-scale data to the cement supply chain, targeting both the emissions profile and the waste.
