Tatton Consulting supported London-based agricultural AI company Hummingbird Technologies in its successful application to Innovate UK Sector Competition, awarded £520,388 by Innovate UK for the project Improving productivity in pea, bean and other crops.

About the funded R&D project

Pulse crops are important to UK rotations and nitrogen management but receive far less agronomic attention than cereals. This project applied Hummingbird’s imagery analysis to pea and bean productivity, extending a platform built for high-value crops into ones where the margin per hectare is thinner and the analysis has to be cheaper.
