Table of Contents

Tatton Consulting supported Test Valley-based cell and gene therapy company Laverock in its successful application to Biomedical Catalyst 2024 Round 1: Industry-led R&D, which was awarded £498,362 by Innovate UK for the project Programmable gene silencing: non-disruptive miRNA harnessing in the design of a candidate cell therapy.

About the funded R&D project

Laverock is developing a non-disruptive approach to programmable gene silencing using miRNA, applied to immune cell therapy. Silencing genes without disrupting the underlying genome is the technical distinction here, and it bears on both the safety profile and the regulatory route for engineered cell therapies.
