About the funded R&D project
Mid-wave infrared sensing detects heat signatures and gas leaks that shorter wavelengths miss, and is used in defence, industrial monitoring and environmental sensing. Cost has confined it to applications that can absorb it. This project applies quantum dot technology to the affordability constraint, following the same route the company took in short wave infrared.
